Good Grief...
Those shots hurt. Tuesday after I blogged mom loaded me up in the car and we left. I was really good while we were in car so I should at least get an award for that. Once we pulled up in the parking lot of the Health Department it was a different story though. I remembered that place and what they did to me last time. I whined the entire time. I was hoping the with all the whining mom would change her mind and not make me get those shots. Wrong. We they called my name we went into a different room. Miss Shirley took me and laid me down and wow I saw spongebob on the ceiling. Woo hoo for spongebob. I was wishing my dad was there with us...he loves spongebob. Miss Shirley raised me up and gave me something to eat. Some gross liquid medicine. Yuck. Doesn't she know I've started food now. I didn't want that. Then she laid me back down and I stared at spongebob some more then WHAM...I didn't know what hit me. Then it happened again...and again. Three shots. :( They sure did hurt. I will give it to her; she's fast but it still hurts. I pouted. Even though it didn't do any good I still did it. When my shots were over we left there and went to the bank. Mommy had to pull over to hold me because I wouldn't stop screaming. She didn't mind though. She must have had shots before too because she held me and tried to make me feel better. We went to Granny and Harold's because Daddy was having to sleep and we didn't want to wake him up. I spent the rest of the day whiney and tired. Wednesday when Daddy got home he laid down to sleep for a little while then he and mommy decided they would go out to dinner since daddy had a little birthday money left over. They dropped me off at Granny and Harold's so I could play. Mommy and Daddy went to La Hacienda then they went to Wal-mart. When they got back I was really happy to see them (mostly because they bought me a rattle and flashcards...yes flashcards mommy thinks I'm gonna learn everything before I'm one apparently) Thursday we didn't do much. We just hung out around the house. We spent time with daddy on his last day off. He has to work all weekend long. Now it's Friday and it's a snow day. A bunch of white stuff is on the ground and it's cold. We are staying at Granny and Harold's tonight just in case things get worse we won't be by ourselves. Daddy is working all weekend long :( We've had fun so far. Mommy, Granny, Harold, and Robert had pizza and now we are all just hanging out watching tv. I had applesauce for dinner and I'm ready for breakfast now :) Well I don't want to be rude and stay on the computer while I'm here tonight so I better go. Happy Snow Day :)

What I Love
I have a few minutes before I have to go get my shots so I thought I would take the time to post a few things I love at the moment.
- I love food...butternut squash, peas, sweet potatoes...you name it I love it!
- I love Itsy Bitsy Spider and playing patty cake
- I love playing peek-a-boo with my Granny and Harold
- I love when Aunt Sharon and Uncle D play with me
- I love when I get to lay on the bed and someone plays with me
- I love juice (so far my two favorites are white grape and carrot apple)
- I love to be moving
- I love the tv but please don't stand in front of it
- I love books but they have to have lots of colors and not many words I'm too busy to sit still very long
- I love to be tickled
- I love listening to daddy when he comes home from work, I follow his voice wherever it goes
- Lately I'm loving waking up early (sorry mom)
- I love it when Harold wipes my face with my bib (mom needs to video that)
Now for a few things that I don't care so much for
- riding in the car (they even switched car seats on me, but I don't care I'm just not a car person)
- teeth coming in (which by the way I'm cutting two at once)
- being hungry (if I'm hungry you better feed me if not you will suffer)
- gas; it's just painful
- apple juice
- going to bed early (mom says I get this from daddy)
- daddy working crazy hours (but it's a job and we are very thankful for it; ok mostly that one was for mommy as long as I see Daddy during the day I don't care when he works)
- I don't like hiccups, but I get them every time I laugh so I just deal with them
- I don't like the song Wheels on the Bus, but this partly mommy's fault because she usually sings it in the car when I'm crying so I can play the part of the baby on the bus (don't tell her but she's not funny)
- I don't like Target, we've been shopping lots of places I just don't like that place and I let it be known (who wants to go in somewhere and smell popcorn soon as you walk through the door then not be able to eat any? not me)
- I don't like it when mommy and daddy eat but I can't eat what they are eating
Ok that pretty much sums up my likes and dislikes. I'm only 4 months old but I do have a personality. I'm for the most part a happy baby. If I'm hungry or wet you will know it. That's not too bad; at least I don't think so. I guess I'm happy because I have lots of family that loves me and I'm just content. Ok time to get ready for shots. I'll update you later on how they went.

Phew....
That's all I can say about Saturday. We woke Daddy up and then we left. Mommy and daddy took me to Granny and Harold's so they could run to the bank. When they got back we all loaded up in the car and took a little ride. We went to the nursing home in Carrollton and visited Aunt Mott and Mozelle. We didn't stay too long at the nursing home, but I enjoyed seeing new faces and meeting new people. When we left there of course mommy and daddy had to have something to eat. Mommy loves to eat at Sonic but she was nice and decided on Taco Bell because they haven't been eating out a lot and she knew they wouldn't be eating out a lot in the coming week she wanted daddy to have what he loves. After they ate we went to visit with BeBe and Grandaddy Musick. BeBe had her fingernails painted and boy did I love playing with her hands. She laid me on the couch and I showed her how I like to pull up! We didn't stay too long with them because it was getting close to my nap time. Soon as we got in the car I was out. I napped while mommy and daddy went to Wal-mart. When I woke up we were back in the car and headed to MyLean and Keith's house. When we got there I saw another baby. She is the same age as me (well actually I'm 5 days older) I enjoyed seeing someone my size. We stared at each other and tried to talk. They were getting ready to eat dinner so we didn't stay there long either. Once we got home I was so tired. Mommy and daddy fixed dinner then we all just laid in the bed. I was so tired that I had a hard time falling asleep Saturday night. It was after midnight before I went to sleep. Mommy decided that since it was so late when I went to bed that we would just sleep in and skip church. Sunday morning we didn't do too much. We just hung around the house and relaxed. Sunday afternoon Paw Paw and Grandmaw Tweedell came to visit. Of course he took lots of pictures of me. I enjoy them coming to see me! Grandmaw Becky of course held me, and even Paw Paw held me this time! When they left we loaded up and went to see Maw-Maw at the nursing home. Mommy and daddy put my new car seat in the car. Man is it better than that old car seat. I hated that thing. I actually rode for a little while without screaming. Sunday night we didn't do much. Daddy had to stay awake all night so he could sleep today. I woke up this morning at 4 am and decided it was time to play. I don't understand why mommy doesn't like to play that early? She always looks so tired. I didn't sleep well last night. It was a combination of my tummy and teeth. Yep teeth. I'm cutting two teeth at once. That makes for one fussy boy. Mom was great though she brought me out of the bedroom so daddy wouldn't be bothered. I finally went back to sleep around 8 this morning and I slept til 11. We missed story time this morning but it was worth it for a few extra hours of sleep. Mommy had lots of paperwork to do today so I was good and let her work. When she got done I took a nap and then she made dinner for her and daddy. Daddy is now working the night shift which will be permanent. Mommy was a little upset today because it's her first time being at home all night with just me and her here. Daddy said we would get used to it. He said I had to take care of mommy. I'm doing a good job so far I think. We went to Granny and Harold's for a little while to play. Now we are back home and getting ready for bed. I have to go tomorrow for my 4-month shots. YUCK! Mommy is gonna take me by herself so that should be interesting. Well I guess that's all for tonight. I'm gonna go to bed now and rest before those dreaded shots in the morning.
Oh and we are now counting down to another big event! My "Aunt" Lindsay in Kentucky is expecting a baby! YAY...I'm either gonna have a new best buddy or a girlfriend. (I'm hoping for a girlfriend) She is due in October. She found exactly one year and 1 week from the day that mommy and daddy found out they were having me! So congratulation to "Aunt" Lindsay and Dusty. We can't wait to meet Baby Wagner :)

What's New?
Let's see a lot is new in my little world lately. I have tried butternut squash, peas, pear juice, apple juice, and white grape juice (which is my favorite so far). Daddy was off yesterday, which I love, so it was different having him around while me and mom tried to do our usual things. Daddy helped mommy clean the kitchen while I napped, then she cleaned out my closet and began packing up things I can no longer wear. She said she only had to pack up a few things that I never got to wear. It's been at least two weeks since I've "repeated" an outfit (I don't know what this means but I heard mommy say it, daddy says it means mommy is jealous I have so many clothes) So now that my closet is clean mommy and daddy at least can find stuff in my size. I'm wearing mostly 6 month clothes now but I can wear 6-9. My 3-6 aren't fitting as well anymore because the ones that cover my feet usually are too small. Socks are a big problem! All the socks I get hurt my legs. They are all too tight. Mom, Granny, and Aunt Sharon have tried to fix the problem but no luck. I prefer sock-less anyway...and if I could get away with it I would love to just be naked. I think I've heard Aunt Sharon say that's how mommy was when she was little too.
Last night Aunt Sharon and Uncle D came over to help Daddy fill out some papers for work. We might actually have insurance for the first time, and even though I don't understand what insurance is mommy and daddy sure are happy about it. Daddy made spaghetti last night and mommy made a salad. We all ate dinner, of course I had peas, no spaghetti for me. Then when it was juice time I kept trying to hold my bottle, but since I have glass bottles it was too heavy. Mom solved that problem she put my juice in a cup and I figured it out by myself. Yep I'm 4 months old and I figured out a cup. Pretty smart if I do say so. I know this is something big because mom got out the camera. When the camera comes out I know it's something special. Anyway after dinner and the juice I got a bath and Aunt Sharon helped. I love bath time. Then I ate some more and went to sleep. Aunt Sharon held me while Uncle D and Daddy finished up the paperwork. I enjoyed Aunt Sharon and Uncle D coming over I hope they come back to see me soon!
Ok so I thought I would let everyone know a little bit about what is going on with Daddy's work. He loves it. Every night when he comes home he tells us lots of stuff about what happened at work. There is always something exciting happening there. So I've told you that daddy has to run a mile, do the sit-up, and the push-ups, well they changed it again as far as the time goes. He has less time to do it in, but me and mommy still think he can do it. Daddy didn't have to run yesterday because it was raining. The Major said he just wanted to see how daddy was doing with the running and other stuff. Once he sees Daddy do this stuff he can find out what area he needs to improve in. Daddy has to go to Boot Camp (police academy) soon and he will have to pass it down there but for now he just has to practice, practice, practice. Daddy will probably be leaving in April for his boot camp. He will have to leave out on Sunday night and he won't be back until Friday night. He will have to do that for a month. I know that is gonna be hard on me and mommy but I think I can take care of her. Ok back to the job, the prison had an audit the other day so Daddy had to dress up and he looked like a real police man (ok corrections officer whatever the title is). Of course mom took pictures :) Daddy said everything went great and everyone was impressed daddy was still there. Apparently the prison isn't the easiest place to work. So daddy is off today and tomorrow and then Monday night he starts the night shift and we will get onto a schedule...maybe. He will be working from 5:45 pm to 6 am. I can't wait to see how this works out.
Ok that's all for now. I think I'm gonna wake daddy up so he can spend time with me and mommy now.

FOOD!!!

So last night we did the usual. We waited by the door for daddy to get home. Mom had made grilled BBQ chicken and tater tots. They ate and I kept wondering where is my "food". Then mom had to get out the camera and I knew something big was gonna happen. She went to pantry and got this tiny jar of mush. I thought well that must be something to go in my food. WRONG...that was my food. We didn't go to McDonald's, no Taco Bell, or Long Horn. She grabbed something from the closet and I was supposed to eat it. She got my bowl out and poured this stuff in it. She tasted it and to my surprise she didn't make a face. Then she gave me some. And believe it or not it wasn't that bad. I had butternut squash. Mom said it is one of her favorite vegetables. I loved every bite of it. It's exciting being able to have flavors now. Mom said I would have to eat the same thing for a few days before I can try anything new. I know she's got other kinds of food hiding in that closet and I'm ready for them. After I finished my bowl of food, daddy tried to give me something in a bottle. That was weird. He said it was some kind of juice. Apple I think is what he said. Anyway I wasn't having that. It tasted sour to me.
Last night was pretty exciting besides getting to try food Daddy was off work the next day so we didn't have to be quiet at night. We played and watched tv. I slept with mommy and daddy last night because I was quiet gassy. Yuck. Gas isn't any fun.
This morning we got up and like it used to be we went to Granny and Harold's so mommy and daddy could go walking. Daddy has his physical part of the test Friday (if it doesn't rain). Please say a little prayer that Daddy passes with flying colors! We know he can do it but I'm sure he is nervous about it. Daddy is loving this job and his hours so we really want him to do good! While they were gone walking Granny tried to give me some pear juice but I didn't like it either. Juice is really weird if you ask me.
Well that's all for now. I'm counting down til tonight when I can finish off that jar of baby food :) And when daddy gets home tomorrow he will be off the rest of the week! YAY for extra long weekends!

It's A BIG Day!

This is my 50th post on my blog! Kudos to me for sticking to this blog thing (and a big thanks to those that read it). But more importantly I get to start FOOD TODAY!!!! I'm so excited. This morning mommy had to wake me up (yeah I knew something was going on for her to be waking me up) then she dressed me. She had already gotten ready so once I was dressed we were out the door. After a quick stop at the gas station for gas we headed on to Dr. Whipple's office. Mommy looked so cute with her notebook full of questions (Daddy got called into work so he didn't get to go with us today so mommy wrote all her questions down so she wouldn't forget any). So the first question...can I eat now? Answer YES! Woo hoo dinner time is gonna take on a whole new meaning! I can have 1/2 a jar at dinner or lunch whatever I want! I can also have juice. Man this baby thing might not be quiet so bad after all now that I can actually eat. Dr. Whipple is really amazed at how alert I am and how smart I am. I grabbed his arm as he was looking me over. I cooed at him and then I let out one of those big smiles. Yep I'm a charmer. I am doing great so I don't have to go back until April 2nd. I now weigh 17 pounds and 12 ounces and I'm 23 1/4 inches tall. Dr. Whipple says I'm gonna be tall and handsome just like my daddy. I can't think of any man I would rather be like. We are excited that daddy will be home tonight and he can watch me eat food. What should I start with? Filet Mignon, Catfish, Grilled Chicken...what is that stuff mom is showing me...that's not food that's mush. Oh well I guess I'll start out slow and work my way up to a big mac. Ok I'm sure we will have pictures to show tomorrow of my first food attempt! Come back tomorrow for an update :)

Story Time
This morning I woke up and mom was already getting ready. I figured we were going to Granny and Harold's to do the usual. But then she put me in the car and we didn't go to Granny and Harold's. She kept driving. This is unusual because when it's just me and mom we don't far from home. Aunt Sharon and Uncle D's is usually as far as we go by ourselves. So I was surprised when we pulled up to a place called a library. Apparently this place has tons of books. I wonder if they have as many Dr. Seuss books as I do? I'll have to look into that. Anyway we went inside and I saw a bunch of other kids. I was the littlest one there. Mom had brought me to story time, and we even saw Miss Sara and Nathan there. Miss Sara cuts mommy's hair so it was nice for mommy to see someone she knew. Story time was fun. We played with toys (well the other kids did, mommy didn't want me to put the toys in my mouth so I had my own personal toy from home to play with), then we played with books. We had puppet time too! They sang songs, blew bubbles, we danced, and played peek-a-boo! We had a great time! Our first outing together was a success until we got ready to leave. By then I had gotten hungry so mommy had to drive all the way home with me screaming in the back seat. That makes for an interesting ride home. Sorry mom, but when I'm hungry I'm hungry :) So now we are at Granny's counting down the time til Daddy gets home. Mom made chili so dinner is ready all we have to do is spend time together. Daddy is off tomorrow and thank goodness because I have a doctor's appointment at 8:45 in the morning. Mommy is excited because we will find out what I weigh and if I can start food. She says those are perfect moments for taking pictures. Ok that's all for now I think I hear a nap calling me!
