Our "Weekend"

Well we enjoyed what was our weekend. Since dad has this new job his weekends usually won't fall on actual weekends. Which is fine with us. As long as we still get time with daddy when don't care what day it is. Thursday night mommy and I gave daddy is birthday presents. Mommy has wanted to start new traditions since I have come along. So one new tradition is that at least one of your birthday gifts has to be homemade. She made daddy a blanket. She actually started it when she found out she was pregnant, but while she was pregnant she developed something called carpal tunnel and she could no longer work on it. Well it sat beside their bed until a few weeks ago...she got it out of the house without daddy noticing it, and she took it to Granny's where she worked on it til she got it finished finally. It's a huge crocheted blanket. Now Granny has made me every color of blanket you can imagine but none of them have been this big. That thing is HUGE! Anyway back to the gifts. Mom had already given daddy the DVD Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. And I gave daddy a shirt that says number one dad! He loved all his gifts. Friday we let daddy sleep in. While I took my morning nap mom made dad a cake and she cooked lunch. We loaded up the car and headed to Granny and Harold's for daddy's birthday lunch. It looked like a mini thanksgiving lunch. Sure did look good. Aunt Sharon and Uncle D were there too! Aunt Sharon made a sweet potato casserole. It looks so yummy! Can't wait til I can try food! After lunch they lit daddy's cake then daddy blew out the candles. And surprisingly the fire department wasn't called. :) Mom made dad the coolest cake. It had 30 candles around the outside of the cake, then she put a picture of daddy in the middle, then she wrote on it-Give up we have you surrounded! That's funny. When they lit the cake mom said it reminded her of a song...Ring of Fire. She is so silly. All of that partying made me tired because last night I went to bed at eight and besides waking up maybe three times to eat I slept til 9 am this morning. Today hasn't been like a normal Saturday. We stayed in the bed most of the morning. Then I got to go to Granny's while mom ran to the bank. Then she picked me up and we went to Aunt Sharon and Uncle D's. Aunt Sharon had bought me 6 new pairs of socks! Yippie! Then I went back to Granny's so mommy and Harold could go to the funeral home. This afternoon we came back home to relax. I'm kinda fussy. I'm not feeling too good tonight. Mommy had planned on getting up and going to church but has decided not too now because I'm not feeling so well. Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow. Tomorrow is Devin's birthday party and Daddy's actual birthday. Daddy has to work, but he and mommy are gonna take cupcakes to Devin's party then come back and get me. Busy busy busy! Daddy has to work tomorrow and Monday but hopefully he will be home Tuesday so we can all go the doctor. Mommy is excited to find out what I weigh and to see if I can start eating foods! Ok that's all for tonight, me and mommy are gonna go to bed now. Early to bed...even earlier to rise :)
